Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Darling FM ("we") collects when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. It applies to this site only.
What we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google or an emailed link, we receive your email address and a sign-in identifier. We never see your Google password.
- A visitor identifier. A random identifier in a cookie ties your progress, purchases and account to this browser. Signing in on another device links that device to the same account.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by Stripe. We keep a record of what you bought, when, and the amount; Stripe holds your card details and we never receive them.
- Usage. Which stories and parts you open, how far you get, the choices you make in interactive stories, the page you arrived on and where you came from (including campaign tags in the link).
- Technical data. Your IP address, browser and device type, collected by our hosting provider and analytics as part of serving the site.
How we use it
- To run the service: remember where you left off, unlock what you paid for, and sign you in.
- To measure what works: which stories people start, finish and buy, so we can make better ones.
- To keep the site safe and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To contact you about your account, such as a sign-in link or a receipt. We do not send marketing email without asking first.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies for the visitor identifier, your session when signed in, where you arrived from, a checkout in progress, and a sign-in in progress. They are not used for advertising. Blocking them stops sign-in and purchases from working.
Who else handles your data
- Supabase stores accounts and usage records.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Google provides sign-in when you choose "Continue with Google".
- Vercel hosts the site.
- PostHog provides product analytics.
Each acts on our instructions to provide the service. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept while you have an account and as long as needed for tax and accounting. Usage records are kept to measure the service and may be aggregated so they no longer identify you.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time. To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, email ethan@chessreps.com from the address on your account. Deleting your account ends access to anything you bought.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided it, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for signed-in users, say so on the site.
